Big Things come in Small Packages

The little blond four year old

She didn’t want the new edition to come

For fear he’d push her into the cold

Although now she knows it was rather dumb

Couldn’t believe he was coming so soon

Sitting in that waiting room

She knew she’d have to ship him to the moon

Suddenly it all went into a gloom

Nurses rushing in to take him away

Mother bawling for her precious baby boy

I myself wondering why he couldn’t stay

Crazy how the newbie already brought me such joy

Doctor came in after a long moment

Speaking privately with my family

Little did I know he’d end up being such an enlightenment

The man spoke softly

“Your son has been diagnosed with achondroplasia”

Hearts shattered over the unknown disability

Almost 13 years later and he grows on ya

A 4 foot baller with amazing ability

Personality twice his size

No problem telling you what to do

Future pro Fortnite player on the rise

Always running his mouth as loud as he wants to

All you can do is laugh too

Theres no controlling his over the top attitude

But, Pate, I will always love you

My family
