Between Two Trees

Between two trees lay her heart in his palms

Amidst the breeze could be heard a song

Laughter from young love’s bliss

Replying sighs from a tender kiss

Between two trees lay her better side

Eyes the color of a setting sky

Warmth that stretched the oceans tide

Earned trust from years intertwined

Between two trees lay her fondest memories

Arms with strength to send a heart relief

Promises of forever sealed with “I Do”

Witnessed by clouds and an endless blue

Between two trees lay her heart in his palms

Amidst the breeze could be heard a song

Tears of despair dried of exhaust

Heartache from her treasure now lost
