What is poetry but a comparison,

Yet sometimes, a comparison is all we need,

All we need to open our eyes,

To see the world through a different light,

Words have more power than we believe.

Carefully crafted ideas can change a person's life,

The feeling of warmth spreads to our souls,

When we read or write word after word,

Taking on a personality,

Diving into your own character,

How do I feel?

How do you feel?

How did she feel?

Am I Happy or Sad?

Confused or Enlightened?

It doesn't matter,

All I need is to write it,

Whatever I need,

I can find in a poem,

The best life lessons are between lines in a story.
