Rushing ahead and forgetting the reason

For time to prepare in the in-between season

Life gets so crazy, days are disapearing

I want to be "there" and I'm fretting and fearing

Looking back at point A and then up at point B

And then I look down and there's nothing to see

Praying and wishing my dreams will come true

I go making plans and forget about You

So, Lord, if I'm slipping and taking control

Bring me back to Your path and out of the hole

Instead of forgetting and rushing ahead

Lord, please bring my heart to what you want instead ~
