Beside Me
One minute I am here,
The next I am gone.
Where you might ask?
A land where I belong.
Where the mountains demean and the valleys are fey,
The sky is not dark and the clouds are not gray.
I see the creeks and the rivers, chilling water alike.
I see children passing me and giggling, riding on their little trikes.
But looking around, beside me I see
An unlimited world dreamlike and yet free.
