Bells, Whistles, and Other Doo-Dads

Ring-ring-ring

Bong    -    Bong    -    Bong

Shreeee-Shreee-Shreee

Light and airy,

Solemn and rich,

Piercing and short.

All sounds heard everyday,

By ordinary people,

Always in the way.

They ignore the lilting rings,

the chiming bings,

the sweeping pings.

If I could hear,

I'd pray for daylight,

To draw near.
