Being the Change in the Special Needs Classroom

 

Being a mentor in a special needs class,

Knowing that every day they are learning something new

Addition, subtraction and more

Knowing they are smarter than they look

Each one wanting to learn more

I seek to make learning fun

With new ways of making learning more exciting

Each new day awaiting a new adventure towards success

Helping them grow in many ways

Social skills and being a friend

Teaching them how to have fun in school and work hard

Each one has something to look forward to

One day in a classroom of my own

Each student will be excited to run through the door

Reading, writing, counting money and more

Each student will be able to live on their own

Making learning fun for those who need an extra helping hand

To make sure that on their own they will not need their hands held

One day the special needs students will be booming with success

 That one day no one will notice a difference
