The Beginnings the Best Part of a Relationship and Poem
With you the rain pours
like glass shattering
on hardwood floors.
With me that glass breaks
like an earthquake
and how it shakes.
Now isn't this a shame.
You had no promise.
You had no game.
Inside and out
my poetry now reflects you
like a thunderclap and a shout.
I listen to you drone
you go on and on
and honestly I'd rather be alone.
Six long years and two days.
I have finally come to realize
Having had you, nothing pays.
So now my story has come to close
on a plot twist broken by woes
one that shouldn't ever have arose.
