Because You Love Me

You would think it should be common truth,

that when a child's in their youth.

Their Mom and Dad would love them true,

but sweetie, I got news for you.

I would hope that when a baby cries,

its mother would be keen and wise,

to tuck her infant in warm embrace,

but that is not always the case.

A parent-child relationship,

should only have but one small tip,

without condition, love them lots,

and accept every single tear and knot.

Because you love me, you should know,

that children often will not grow,

if pain and hate is all you give,

your child simply will not live.

Because you love me, you should know,

that relationships are not for show,

their feelings should be yours as well,

even if they're hard to tell.

It's hard to raise a child, yes

but do not think it as a test,

their life and soul are not a grade,

children are not simply made.
