Because we're stronger than that

Thu, 09/25/2014 - 12:20 -- Angel51

why do we refuse others when they call for help?
why do we stick the friend on a shelf?
you've heard their cries
but you told them to stop being a baby and be strong,

its not easy to move along when your alone in your room,

the moon only points out the darkness

and sun is to bright when you want to go outside

but there was one night when they really called for help

they were tired of doing it by themselves

so instead of you hearing the cries of a friend

you hear the words "i want to die tonight"

you try to talk them out of it

but with every word, a pill is swallowed

and you feel your friend getting killed is going to follow

so you finally call 911 in hopes that they will do something
This is a poem about myself....

one night and one friend who called for help because i needed it
and 45 pills later
she saved me and every day i say thank you for saving my life,

that one night....

Now i sit here and laugh

because i am stronger than that

we all are
