Because No One Asked

Parents have the loudest whispers

Especially when thought unheard

Money, Death, Pressure

My little heart so confused

My mind so determined

Must help them

What to do, say

Good grades, don't be a burden

That's it

Just be perfect

Work. eat. sleep, repeat

Lose an hour of sleep

That's fine

Who needs energy

Lose a tenth of a point off your GPA

Just make up for it with less sleep

Who needs it

Lose a bit of weight

That's good

Who says it's not healthy

Lose your life-

Wait. No.

Sleep, Work , Eat, Repeat

Letting them down not an option

Letting myself die

Because No One Asked

Also not an option
