"Because I love you" These were the words I would hear before I was met with heartbreaking comments

From my size to my smile to my intelligence. I was always wrong. But I was told these flaws "because they loved me"

Now these words are followed by gestures and suggestions

"I bought these flowers for you because I love you"

"Because I love you I want to go with you to get help so you can heal"

"Because I love you I want to take you places you've never been"

My favorite is "Because I love you I can deal with the silence as you study. I may not understand what you ask but because I love you I am willing to try to help you"

A year in a healthy relationship I have come to learn a quick hand out isn't to hurt me. It is to catch me from falling

I learn that this sneakiness about him isnt him playing me. He is planning our amazing date.

I learned that not all "Because I love you"s are bad.
