Beauty is Everything

They looked upon the forests

-paper, mulch, and logs

I looked upon the forests

deep within the fog

a bear cub following mama

wild rose buds in a bloom

birds singing spring melodies

frogs croaked along in tune

They looked upon the oceans

- trolling, fishing, and cruising

I looked upon the oceans

through the sea kelp strands

yellow seahorses clinging on

cool sea spray soothing

clear crystal blue waters

warm summer in the sand

They looked upon the mountains

- Gold, silver, and ore

I looked upon the mountains

through the booming blizzard

icicles decorate the branches

wolves bellow at the moon

winter wildcats keep vigil

fresh snowflakes hit the floor

They looked upon the skies

- airways, sun, and satellites

I looked upon the skies

commets fall like autumn leafs

vast galaxies expand above

auroras paint the heavens

constellations speak of love

nightingales fly into infinity

Beauty

- everything and everywhere

Just open your eyes

enough to see it

in the forests

mountains

oceans

skies
