The Beautiful Duckling

She opened her eyes
Took a couple steps
Looked into the pond
And into its depths
She saw her reflection
She thought she was beautiful

They called her out
She looked different from the rest
She didn't know why
They called her ugly at the best
And though her parents disowned her
She thought she was beautiful

Now she's a woman
In another park
She met another swan
And she won his heart
‘Cause although she is different
She knows she is beautiful
