Battlescars

Mon, 01/20/2014 - 10:34 -- faith01

So inviting,

the smile,

of the kid

whose time

is slipping through his hands,

yet,

he doesn’t let out a whine.

He is brave and courageous,

lives life like it’s,

a music playlist,

just shuffling through songs,

with no worries to grab.

Fear,

a word,

that falls out of his hands.

To the kid who lost time,

but not an inch of  oneness.

The struggle of his disease,

was inspiration to fight,

but,

Death crept upon him

all too soon.

This is for Austin,

a lovely soul,

he taught me that life

is just a bunch of roads,

and if you want to keep going,

you have to keep on,

you see,

the twist and turns,

are the devils call,

to say just jump off,

but never did he,

he taught me that life,

is a goal that expires,

the end is heaven,

where we will prosper.

The battle scars of life

will then disappear,

and the king of kings,

will have made beautiful things

of Austin’s 16 years.
