Bask

I am only brave enough to think about it at night

And yet I still start crying because the feelings aren’t slight

I can’t help but notice the frequency of her pain and sickness

What can I do to stop her from being human, I ask

Because a day without my mother is not something I would like to sight

She has always been there for me even when I cried over a dog bite

Money was scarce but she let us feel the worlds richness

And never failed the mother task,

That is to make our world bright

But this is life, right?

Losing her is why I am not fearless

But i will carry along and appreciate her so we can enjoy to bask
