Barely seeing

Ecclesiastes 1:8 New English Translation (NET Bible)

All this monotony is tiresome; no one can bear to describe it.

The eye is never satisfied with seeing, nor is the ear ever content with hearing.

Barely seeing

Should I or should I not? Opportunity knocking at the door

Do I hunger for more money or restore a faded dream?

Where to invest His time? What am really I living for?

Unless you share my life and hear my desperate screams

Is it to secure more comfort or special recognition?

Or maybe just to give away the things I cannot keep

With your life in the hand of others in chosen perversion

To show you without a doubt: that what you sow you also reap

Where does life start earnestly and where does death give up?

It seems an “everlasting” battle as long as I am in the flesh

At times enjoying life in full and at other time not up to snuff

As “my” faith seems rattled when the world demands my best
