Bareback Riding

Riding a horse bareback is sweet

in a way it's almost unique

with no saddle on their back

it gives you a lot of slack

take off with reins in hand

take off riding across the land

going with her as she glides

back and forth like the tide

giving the ques one at a time while running across the grass

the motions flowing as smooth as glass

becoming one with the horse as I ride

feeling the wind go through my hair as we glide

rushing and flying no matter where I roam

some how I always end up home

when I have to be done

I just want to run

to ride even more

to go to the shore

but it would be cruel

and would make me a fool

to ride the horse all night

to ride until the sky is light

so stop I must

for it is dusk

but ride on it to me may seem

because I will do it in my dream
