Ballroom Heartbreak

I thought loving someone was the best thing in the world

And I was right, I gave my all, even though it was hard

So I put you up above everything,

I didn't know I was ever going to be loved

See, it all started when you picked me

We were surrounded by an ocean of bodies

But you picked me-

No one has chosen me

You made it all special

Your words wrapping around my body

Your touch addictive sending shocks in my heart

Your constant charisma infatuating my soul

But you have blinded me

You have sent the words you have given to me to others

You have smiled and smirk to other faces

You have liked other bodies

I let it slide

But you continued, right in front of me

You promised me your world

Yet you have given me a small piece

I fell in love with all your lies

And I dedicated my words to you

Only to find out that you only loved you

And you only loved seeing me act like the fool.

I tried to let you go

I tried to move away

But you grabbed my heart with force

And you kept it, despite the venom you spat

But now we have settled things

Yet you still fill my heart with confusing melodies

So with all this history between our bodies, I ask-

Why me? Why did you choose me?
