Back then.

I miss those nights we'd escape the heartaches of life and head to the beach,
Listening to whatever you played on the aux cord..
I could match the melodies with my feelings.
The instrumentals behind the lyrics were neat and breezy.
You'd connect with me, sit directly in back of me, and and i'd curl up in your arms, while I wore your sweat pants;
You'd wrap a blanket around me;
And we'd talk all night under the moonlight.
The waves crashed against the shores;
there were silent pauses every once in awhile.
I'd turn around and put my nose on yours,
Gently brushing up against your cheeks,
Inhaling the smell of your cocoa scented skin;
I would fall in love with you.
