Awake

Location

When day came I closed my eyes to be awake

My clock ticked by, counting down

While I keep my dreams in my paint jar

I'm waiting till it finally breaks

My clock stops and everything becomes alive and sounds awake

I hear a car speed by, I look around but I feel chained down

Leaning up I see the moon smiling down, with a frown

As cold wind flies by

I feel more alive, enough to ponder the time

I close my eyes for less than a second to find I'm now up upon a cloud

High up where the stars sparkle in the air

When a single tear slips out, I fear that I will fall all the way back down

The tear descends to the ground

At it does, I wonder if I will ever get back

Then it hits, so quick

The ticking of my clock returns

Everything dies off and I become awake
