Authority

Authority can be so fair and understanding

They help us to flourish in the right bearing

Protects ourselves from being destructive

Can be so supportive and so constructive

Authority is the thing that keeps us together

The thing to lead us through the bad weather

But authority is not always perfection

For even authority can be incessant

Controlling their world with no thoughts of care

Authority takes what is thought of as theirs

They speak that we all have our own say

as we sit in our cages going insane

Feeling indestructible and infallible

Society weakens at every obstacle

The justice and rule authority brings

Is tearing us apart, piece by piece
