Arythmia

Oh devil heart how you cross my mind

Angelic nature is yours to find

My heart is closed to love, obtuse

Above my heart my mind hangs a noose

Blood red paintings stain my room

Horrible pictures of anguish and doom

That knife is for me, it is mine to bear

Under the ceiling fan stands a chair

Devil heart, calm yourself

Look at the stainless portraits on your shelf

The roof above your head

The sheets covering your bed

All the kind words that have been said

All the stories that have been read

Do not hate those who trust

It is not kindness that you disgust

Devil heart let down your wall

All great defenses are sure to fall
