Arguments

Arguments

2nd Cor. 10: 3-5 “casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ”

Arguments within one’s-self ... the mind is good at that.

May this division … is between spirit and soul.

My mind has no problem ... to understand my feelings

and when my body screams in pain it is the first to know.

So my mind exalts itself ... against the knowledge of God

liking only parts of life ... that it can interpret.

“Live by faith,” it cannot grasp ... unless it can explain it

and in most things this can’t be done ... to its own regret.

The mind cannot compromise with what is done somewhere else.

All it does is weigh the odds ... and sent this to the will.

Rotten to the core ... that started with pollution

through feeling and emotion’s rule ... to a selfish hateful skill.

Thought on the other hand ... does not start in the mind.

It does not pass emotion by ... for here it communicates first.

Where does thought originate ... possibly from a spiritual world

as intrinsically it points at things ... which often bring own hurt?

There are two origination points ... one truth and one artificial.

The first one points at Life itself ... the other at death’s misfit.

The first is ever growing ... the more to it we listen

and the second hangs on and appeals ... to present the flesh’s benefit.

The first shows us pain and suffering ... how to love despite feelings

the second sprouts selfishness ... and re-interates what you deserve.

The first softly speaks and forgives ... for it knows its origination

for it was where the second resides ... until Truth in love preserved.

Bringing thoughts into captivity ... who can do that thing?

Is that through power beside myself ... by the One I invite in?

Is that where reality proves desire ... for the motivating appetite

trying to satisfy the call ... to all issues of the reborn heart?

2 Corinthians 4:4 New English Translation (NET Bible)

among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of those who do not believe so they would not see the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God.

So it is the invitation ... where opportunity itself rests

and when it is redeemed ... my mind can clearly see.

“For the god of this age has blinded it to the Gospel”

so it flutters on in darkness ... and cannot chose the free.

2 Cor. 10: 3-5 “for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ”

The battlefield is in the mind ... and captive to the prince of this world.

The strongholds in the crevices where rebellious thoughts anchor down

They cannot move or change there ... they will fight unto the end

and unless destroyed they’ll pop up again ... to fight yet another round.

The battle is won the Bible states ... but mine has just begun

a child of contradiction ... who wants to be God’s son.

So easily taken captive ... still trying to please Christ

Only He can turn me over ... only He Himself is wise?

So it is my mind at issue ... here demons clash with God.

Not really for supremacy ... for God is Almighty.

Where do I fit into this ... is it in Christ the human?

Who also went through this ... and showed me not to fight it?

He showed me to rely ... only on God the Father

to place my everything ... in the Father’s loving Hands.

He did not hold back anything, no thought, word or action.

He gave it all to God ... Who fully understands.

“I always do what the Father wants,” He quietly stated.

“If you see me as I am, you are seeing God the Father.”

“We are One in All,” you know, “there is no separation

only when I took your sins in me ... to the Cross as a martyr”.

In the Eternal ... a second is a million years.

So just a moment forsaken ... is like a living hell.

Not a moment in temporal ... can be compared to this.

It is beyond understanding as Glorification will later tell.

Satan holds man’s mind in complete blindness.

The Light of the Gospel cannot be seen at all.

The mind becomes hard in its own imaginations.

A “common” state of mind entrained after the Fall.

Ephesians 2: 1-3 “and you He made alive,

who were dead in trespasses and sins, in

which you once walked according to the

course of this world, according to the prince

and the power of the air. The spirit which

now works in the children of disobedience.

Among whom we also once we conducted

ourselves in the lust of our flesh.

Fulfilling the desires of our flesh and of the

mind and were by nature children of wrath,

just as the others.

The mind has desires ... its own wants and wishes.

This really throws a curve ... in my understanding.

It is not a computer ... that just analyzes,

but it thinks to have power ... in the directing of His Will.
