Apologies, Johanna

Johanna thy dearest

an ode out for you

to calm thine soul softly

and say the tune true

your fate had been destined

before long it rang true

fore long his was gone

and then as were you

his love was most sincere

your heart trusted more

it was kind and sweetly

a love soft and pure

thy head had forbid it

it was too much to endure

so after he had perished

you left us all too

and after he had left us

you had left us too

non longer our sweetling

merely bid an adieu

So those who forbid

are forbidden by you
