Apollo and Artemis

Thu, 10/17/2019 - 20:23 -- jessk

Typical siblings, dark and light,

One brings day, one brings night.

Artemis was late to rise, Apollo was early to bed,

The sun and stars, perfectly wed.

Apollo is the early bird, striving for the worms,

Artemis is the midnight owl, moonlight she affirms.

Apollo is the music student,

Always singing and humming,

His guitar he is softly strumming,

Whenever and wherever he went.

Artemis is in love with being outside,

Pitching her tents and hiking uphill,

She is a strong woman with a strong will,

Always exploring the world, far and wide.

Apollo loves a girl named Cassie,

Her presence brings him ecstasy.

Cassie doesn't see Apollo,

But she sees the beautiful sun glow.

Artemis loves to spend time with her ladies,

Before Persephone was dating Hades.

One of her best friends was tall Orion,

Although she was not interested in men.

These twins were different as day and night,

But complimented each other with dark and light,

The moon and sun each shining bright,

Both extraordinary, taking flight,

Balancing the world, keeping it right.
