apart

360 degrees of separation,

That is what this is,

It's the furthest and the closest you can be to someone,

You could walk clear around the world and end up with your back against them and you would still be hundreds of thousands of miles apart,

I sit there, not even 20 feet from people I used to love,

and we don’t say a word to each other,

They have new people to love, and I guess I do too,

but a part of me wants what we used to have,

What was comfortable,

What was safe,

or at least what I thought was safe.
