Anger

Location

Nigeria

Dear Anger,

People wear you like a battle cloth;

Is it when they knock your door?

Or you wander at will…

Like a lion seeking for its prey

Dear Anger,

You cherish man soul not;

Is it to satisfy your urge?

Or to blame whom you are been throw at?

Dear Anger,

You ignite knots between folks with your thunder like strike;

Are you afraid of what love might bring?

Or to make the world a forest without trees…

Dear Anger,

You pour water into the dried mind of man;

Like a flocks baths in a waterfall

Does it throw smile on your cheeks?

Or your thirst is never satisfy

Dear Anger,

You, lemur with a grooming claw!

You groom man with your claw

Is it to fret them of their happiness?

Or to put regrets in their sorrowful eyes

Dear People,

Why don’t you shelter against his grooming claw?

Or you love the track formed by his claws on your skin?

Those he has groomed has never recover…

Dear Anger,

I don’t know your abode…Earth or Heart?

But wherever you are, I have learnt

Not to be groomed by your claws.
