ANGEL FALLEN

Inspired by the word work of CHERYL ANNA DUNN

Silence holds
me as it’s prisoner
my self’ inner child cries
out for a complete release from
solitude; does not quiet, a soul so torture
withdrawing, deep inside my skin’s protection’
layering; it’s sinner’ being shrouds this gentile
spirit, with damaged wings and wounding
an angel’ fallen; seen by human’
resting upon these quest’
a deaf muted echo
Silence holds
