Among

I sit among you

Though you do not see me,

I am the one who went quiet

The one who looked away;

You say don't support

But don't attack,

Hate the sin

Not the sinner;

Yet saying it is not

Your place to judge,

Doesn't stop the stigma

Doesn't stop the pain;

Everyone wants to belong

Everyone wants to be saved,

So just because there's difference

Don't decided to hate;

I am the one who went quiet

I am the one who looked away,

You say you don't judge

That everyone's okay,

So please tell me honestly

What would you say

If I told you I was gay?
