America the Great

Location

Philadelphia
United States

Change is something that is so sought for,
Yet so feared.
When the war came to an end,
The freedom we wanted neared.
Does the shape America is in reflect what our forefathers so valiantly fought for?
Unfortunately, not anymore.
Poverty stricken, hurts like the dickens.
Unemployed, creates a deep void.
Racial relations fall to an all time low,
But how do we chose to handle that blow?
America is my home, my refuge, my hope!
No more shall we mope!
All I could ever wish to accomplish is made possible by this land I love.
Let us work together and rise above!
America needs to be brought back to greatness.
So let us move forth with power and tightness!
Teach, the next generation how to treat people.
Employ, to create a hope steeple.
Encourage, the impoverished to work and be equal.
Then conquer we must!
When our cause is just!
And this be our motto, "In God we trust!"
