America

America

The Country that rose from oppression

Filled with people with their own mission

We strive for success whatever the stakes

Pushing ourselves to achieve it no matter what it takes

But doesn’t that encourage change?

Change is an inevitable life force with a large range

As we grow and live, our decisions push us down different paths

From taking a shower instead of baths.

A lack of change is a lack of existence

The change we feel fuels our persistence.

Our need to grow and expand our lives

Is what makes us more than some buzzing be hives.

Yes, we need change, it flows through our veins

It what keeps us somewhat in control and behind the reins

While not all change seems good or right

The other changes it brings help balance out the fight.

While America may not be equal in terms of opportunity

And sure, right now there doesn’t seem like there’s a whole bunch of unity.

But the change that has yet to come to pass

Will come and go through our lives like any kind of task.
