All in self ...

Proverbs 18:1

18 One who has isolated himself seeks his own desires;
he rejects all sound judgment.

All in self

It is so strange ... when one does wrong

and harms my thoughts and make me fall.

The first thing that comes to my mind

is that I’m hurt ... and opposed by all.

It seems that Satan in his ways

loves division and under-girds my flaws.

So that I isolate myself from the fold

as I stray and ache ... flapping my jaws.

I stand alone far from the crowd

as gazing to an opposing foe.

All appear alike in this emotional mess

as all are to blame for hurting my soul.

Until my conscience gets a hold

of the emotions deep in me

and I return to where I belong

the only “Way” I ought to be.
