All I Need

Crafted by large beautiful hands

scultped in the image of The Almighty

Loving me effortlessly

While I bathed in the womb of his daughter.

Spread love, care, and compassion across my wounds

I felt safe in his warm embrace.

But that embrace eventually turned cold.

Salted liquid burned through my corneas

Watching warm bodies dressing the rememberance

in flowers and ribbons and candles and love

Livng a lengthy life without my backbone

I grew in anger. Losing my Friend

My Hero

My King

My Grandfather,

I learned to love on my own

Fight on my own

Cried on my own

Until I found I was never alone

He was always a whisper away.

All I need is the glowing smile

of the one I hold near and Dear.

(I love you Grandpa.)
