Alive

Setting fire to the slumberous night

The sun awakens at dawn

The creature wake with eyes of light

La Luna goes to bed with a wondrous yawn

Black-eyed Susan opens her arms to the sky

So a little honey bee will land on her

The golden flower smirks when a bee flies by

Appreciative of each other, they loved themselves just as they were

Appreciative of each other, they loved themselves just as they were

The mother wolf taught her baby to hunt

The baby run past with adrenaline in a blur

The mother was proud, congratulating the pup with a grunt

A rabbit, still as a statue just observes

Ready to dash in a second, he’s nervous

He cherishes life, he knows what he deserves

So there he stays, a little cautious, a little anxious

The sly fox sneaks in the tall grass

She smirks to herself, about to attack

So stealthy, as if her paws are glass

She trots away with confidence, she has caught her snack

Beauty is everywhere, but it starts with the sun

When it sets the forest on fire with light

The blazing sun smiles as his work is done

Now it’s La Luna’s turn to shine through the night
