Aimless

Lana Del Rey on my stereo singing
Of broken hearts, freedom, and tragedy
Staring at the ceiling, cigarette in hand
Not quite sure of where to wander next

I'm aimless as a feather on the wind
Go wherever life takes me
No remorse, no regret

The only issue is the constant loneliness
Like a glass with no contents,
You can see right through me
Face painted with pleas of, "Please love me."

She says, "I was born to be the other woman"
And maybe that's true
Some of us
Were never meant
For white picket fences, two kids, and a dog.
