We've been through it all
We've been your slaves
We've been your mades
You threatened us
We never deared to fuss
We've done your work
How do you like your pork we asked?
We cried
We died
Some even lied
You used us for what you wanted
What's that sound?
It's the sound of our people being raped
We are part of some of you
What did we do to you?
You're reign is over
Ooooh who driving that Roover?
Haaa not you
What you and I need?
We say freedom
It's time for you and me to make our path
The wrath is now over
You did it
Yes I did
We're not stupid
We're not stumped
We are smart
We now know what art is
Years have pasted
Now we are moving fast
Who is that? A celebrity
Is he black?
Yes
We all rose from the dirt of different backgrounds
He, she, we dominate the entertainment industry
We do great business
He's gorgeous
She's pretty
We are attractive
We have something that is thicker than blood
We have power
We have strength
We have fame
We have wealth
Most of all we made a long deadly journey that bought us to be on the top of success
BET what is that?
Our very own television show
We touched so many lives
We paved the way for those behinde us
We are the most beautiful people ever made
We are African Americans all over the world
This is our story of who we are.
