The crisp cold wakes me by nipping my nose.
The sleepiness leaves me from my head to my toes.
I look at the clock and groan so loud.
It’s 7 o’clock it’s time to get up now.
But instead of readying myself just yet,
I spend a moment checking the notifications I get.

Each morning, you see, I have this routine.
Look at what is on my Facebook feed!
I see a memory when I hiked a mountain.
And look, there’s a picture of me in a fountain.

All these memories make me reminisce
Back to all the adventures I remember and miss.
Say, why don’t I go to Mexico next fall!
Well I can’t when there’ s nothing in my bank account at all.

So I get up and get ready very, very fast.
So I can make enough money for my vacations to last.
Foundation, lipstick, mascara, and blush
Brushing my hair, I hate that I rush!
I realize before I head out the door,
I can’t find my keys! Oh they’re on the floor.

I know school is important, and also work too.
Because not only do they help make my dreams come true,
But they teach me how to live such a peaceful life
Full of adventures of all different kinds!

Every morning I remember my dreams of different places,
Where I can travel and live in all sorts of places.
That is why I get up in the morning.
So my life isn’t full of things that are boring.
