Adolescent Allegory

We are just a fumble,
Beer can opened outside sounds like an echo,
The snapping of a guitar string.

Clumsy hands drop the knife and fork,
Clumsy eyes drop their gaze a little lower,
Keep going.

We are just a crumble
In the mass of the earth's earth,
Living a life of solemnity and false honesty,
Dreary Broken Sideways.

Waiting for the birthday that would give you some
Dictatorship,
Or maybe just a higher ranking on the self-absorption totem.

Waiting for the first day of school,
To flaunt your poverty,
To enjoy the false means of decapitation-principality-unconstitutional-toomuchmorality.

Hasty leader of a high school burdened with
Amphetamines like sidewalk chalk and a
Twisted sense of guidelines.

Dance to the beat of his drum.
Dance in the streets to my hum.
