Actions are Louder

Location

You claimed you didn't mean them,

The things that you spoke

That I took it too harshley,

"It was simply a joke."

You said you were sorry,

And I thought it true

So I took your shallow word.

I believed in you.

Then, out of nowhere,

You strike me again

But now I know better

Than to let you in.

You ask my forgiveness

And say trust you because

This time, you're sorry

Stupidity is all it was.

This time, however

It means nothing to me

Because actions speak louder

Than the words that you speak.
