6 Years Old

Laughing and playing
Barefoot, hair flailing
Surpassing fear, Climbing trees
Running wild and chasing dreams

New Bruises, old scars
Riding with no handlebars
Playing tag and hide-and-seek
Trying to beat the winning streak

Imagination, zero care
Clinging to her teddy bear
Playing with her childhood friends
Hoping that this never ends
