2016 the year of hashtags (#blacklivesmatter)

Tue, 01/10/2017 - 20:02 -- nya515

It's sad it took for a mans head to splatter,

To start this trend called "black lives matter".

I'm sitting here still thinking about the families,

My heart shatters at the fact all they have left our memories.

Or is it family only what you pretend to be,

If there was still life in that body would ya'll still have the same consistency.

My heart pours out to those who have wept,

And even the officers and the bullets they wished they kept.
