2 B A Kid Again (dedicated 2 the children on the South Side of Chicago)
Location
Sometimes I wonder,
what it would be like
2 b a kid again.
I prolly wouldn't last long.
As the inner-city blues continue,
evil lurks and guns blast on.
Sometimes I wonder,
what it would be like
2 b a kid again.
I would prolly fear 4 my life.
'Cause I'll be dead by 17, if not b4 then
and will never have kids or find a wife.
Sometimes I wonder,
what it would be like.......
......then the thought I simply dismiss.
4 who would want 2 b a kid again
in a life where they live like this????

This is a very unique poem. Many poems that reflect on what it would be like to be young again take the position that it would be great to be a child again, because that it the time in our lives when we are young and carefree. In your poem, you have take the position that you don't want to be young again, because you think it would be difficult to survive. This is a very interesting concept, and helped to make this a very enjoyable poem to read.
