A journey

A JOURNEY

I feel lower than the dirt

Beaten down inside and out

One man with two voices

Each fighting for control

I used to stand tall

And the Good stood next to me

And the Dark side slunk away

But the Good has fallen

And the Dark attacks me

I feel weaker than an infant

Beaten down inside and out

I fight the Dark and so does the Good

But I am no fighter

And at that he is good

He knows my sorrows, failures and falls

And he will use them against me till the final call

But I will not give in to him

I will stand strong and tall

I feel stronger than the mountain he is

Beaten before but I know what to do

I will take from him what pleases him most

The pain he inflicts, that was my clue

I have thrown him away

His backside can roast.

And I will call up a toast

For I will be free

But I will not boast

My strength comes from my god above

And he forgives me for my dark side’s mistakes

And that is what, from me he will take

I feel happier than ever before

Because his love is an open door

And him above I adore

In his light, forever more
