Interpretations

Let me watch the clouds

Rise over foreboding mountain

As the leaves begin to change

And days begin to shorten

We can do nothing more

To contain this symbolic close

So quietly retreat from these

Our unconquerable foes

Leave behind those haunted grounds

Let rest those burned out places

From around the edge of darkened trees

Ignore disdainful faces

Climb over all the broken boughs

Left scattered in the trail

Let go of that dark hatefulness

And face our epic fail
