She is the Universe

Her skin burns with the heat of summer and smells of coastal rain
No matter who influences her she’ll always stay the same
She spends her time staring up at the moon,
wishing she could run away in the heat of June.

In her dreams she sails across the sun,
swims in a turquoise sea,
and blindly dances along to the strum a flamenco guitar.

Nobody knows her name,
or why she is always trying to fly away
Like a bird she soars where ever the wind takes her wings,
and she loves to sing.

She would never hurt a fly,
or turn a blind eye
All she wants to do is twirl
Let go of the world and watch the colors of the universe swirl.
