Shadows that Cast

Bound to my shell,

Strong in design.

Never revealing,

What's truly inside.

Perfect in Shape,

Colors so true,

Bright and Cheery,

To hide what's blue.

Hard as Steel,

With protection so vast,

Caging the being,

With the shadow to cast.

Beneath the barrier,

Under the sheild,

Lies the darkest of shadows,

The truth revealed.

The caverns and depths,

That lie inside,

The shell defends,

What I've denied.
