On February 24, 2022 Russia launched a full-scale military attack and invasion of Ukraine under the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Russian military is using weapons such as tanks and missiles in order to destroy densely populated areas in Ukraine. This has already resulted in the deaths of hundreds of Ukrainian civilians and produced hundreds of thousands of refugees with several million more refugees expected to flee in the coming weeks. Refugees are fleeing Ukraine because their homes have been destroyed and they feel unsafe in their own country.
