Relearning how to read

You have ruined everything
Words. Even words. How does someone ruin words?
Beautiful and flowing before, now just a pile of dust
Books were pasttimes and songs were full of joy
Music is heartbreaking
And pens are a tad annoying
Messages make me ache
You've ruined words
You are everywhere I look
Two years and counting I've loved you so
Break the ties they say
Let it go they say
But you have tainted the world
I hope the next is beautiful and kind and smart enough to leave
Unlike me who stayed
So you could blacken every inch with your poison
I wish I'd never said I do
But do I?
You're a lesson they say
A blessing they say
Go away...
Please just...go away...
No I'm begging you.
I need to remember how to love everything again
