I Am

I am from baby dolls
and art covered walls
Straight A's
and long days

I am from tables of stuff
and "Thats enough!"
Wide open spaces
and silly faces

I am from wild imagination
and artistic creation
Bad decisions
and consequences

I am from best friends
and sad ends
Sarcastic remarks
and hide and seek in the dark

I am from big white ducks
and chickens that cluck
Vegtable plants
and stretchy pants

I am from hot summer days
and star stunned gaze
Cluttered messes
and cute summer dresses

I am from swimming pools
and dogs that drool
snowballs
and rainfalls

I am from rainbows
and pink frilly bows
Silver spoons
and Saturday morning cartoons

I am the youngest child
and some say I'm wild
Bells that chime
and the best of time.

The end-rhymes are particularly strong in this poem, as no rhyme is repeated twice--quite a feat for a poem of this length.
